Woods Elementary School

This 16,219 square foot addition includes five primary classrooms, a new music room, two multi-purpose classrooms, a new media center, and new Administration Offices. The addition features a new main entry with a two-story, naturally lighted entry foyer which is attached directly to the new Administration Office area and to a sixty-foot-long covered drop-off area.

The new main, public entry is now a secure entry, where visitors must first enter the Administration area before going into the classroom areas of the school. The building’s exterior appearance will be updated with colorful metal wall panels and brick colors. The new Classrooms have large, shaded windows to enhance the interiors with natural daylighting and
promote educational opportunities.

Site Improvements include a new entry drive to allow longer car queuing lanes for student drop-off and pick-up.

The fourteen-month construction process will be coordinated with the school’s schedule to minimize interruptions to teaching.
