The addition has a 3,000 SF fiberglass technology classroom and a 3,000 SF carpentry technology classroom with a dust collection system. The fiberglass technology classroom has a 400 SF paint spray booth with air exhaust system. The project also had an 800 SF addition to allow the installation of more welding booths to allow growth in its welding technology program.
This addition allows the University to add fiberglass boat repair and construction technologies to its academic classes. The project had a very short Design and Construction schedule, less than a year, to allow for proper expenditure of State and grant funds.
To meet the expenditure time table, at least half of the funds had to be spent by July 1, 2023.
Through efficient coordination with the contractor and owner, Architecture Plus assured that the schedule was met.
